The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed in regards to the superior number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office here focused on service the area daily. The service position established for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to help the servicing of all clients and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
